Hello,
I was thinking that seeing as my defender doesn't pour diesel out now, and I have a friend visiting this weekend that I would like to take him out around the countryside and show him the basics of off roading.
Ok, so I have some experience as I grew up on a farm, but as far as ones on the road go, I am a bit of a noob.
I was wondering if anyone is going out in Derbyshire or the Peak District on Sat or Sun that I can tag along with?
Or if not (I know it will be annoying having someone who is a beginner), can you recommend a couple of places that I can go to try out the basics?
I have bought an OS Explorer map, and read all of the posts about how to find green lanes. Very helpful, so thanks for them.
I also completely agree with all of the codes of conduct of green laning and hate knobs who just fly through everything as fast as they can, there is no skill in that and it makes it miserable for everyone else.
Also, any hints on what to take with me and stuff like that would be appreciated.
Thanks,
James
