Hi All,
After getting the engine disabled status yesterday, Mozzy kindly talked me through the various sequences to try and get me going again. Unfortunately we had no luck and I continued his instruction well into the evening and again this morning. I have 2 kids who I eventually had to organise a taxi to get them home last night, and had to make 2 very cold nd wet, 14 mile, round trips to get them both t oschool this morning (on my old Katana). Mozzy finally concluded the problem lies with the BCEM and ECU being out of sync and suggested I post on here for some help with 'diagnostics' to rectify the problem. I'm between Bishops Stortford and Harlow, slightly out of the way of busses etc, so am desperate to get the car going (P.S. also a single parent). Any help would be so much appreciated. Steve

Look at the 'everything you need to know' sticky in this section and click on the map link. Look for red circles with lightening flash symbols near you. These are the folk with diagnostics. Bit tricky to do on my phone else I'd look for you. If you click the icons it should tell you what they've got and you can pm those that may be able to help. If it's very urgent pm me the names and I'll try and contact them by phone.

My basic OBD reader won't hack it I'm afraid. Is there anyone local with a Nanocom or Hawkeye?

We've not got anyone else close on the map, anyone else got diagnostics near Harlow and want to help someone out of a tight spot?

I've just spoken to Steve and given him details of someone nearby who may be able to help.

OK Syncmate is all he needs. Although Nanocom will also do it. A Syncmate in the glove box is worth it's weight in gold at a time like this.

Cheers Wammers, I hope that changes the state of play a little, syncmate in reach of Harlow anyone??
