If it can be physically fitted in the relevant hole it looks excellent. Within reason it's not really possible to have a battery that's electrically too big.

I had one of these batterys fitted in my discovery which was exchanged under warranty. And while it was away a dug out an old red top optima to put in and it has been fine. So have this battery as a spare and the series 3 could do with a new one :) so a nice win win

You can put almost any battery in a series petrol, as long as it will fit in the tray! That one will do nicely....

You might also like to check the height...
It IS possible to get a battery that fits the tray like a glove and looks perfect... right up until the moment you close the bonnet, and you find it's just tall enough for the stay to rest neatly on the +ve terminal just as the bonnet catch clicks fully home.

Don't ask me how I know. But it came out of a Shogun v6...

STOP

You cant put that in your old Land Rover. Youd be much better off with the geriatric piece of underpowered hearing aid sized beaten up piece of ****e thats in mine. Ill do you a straight swap with lets say a tenner my way.

You know it makes sense................ :D

Nice welding matey.

Salfodian if you don't mind.. :D
From the Urban Dictionary:-
Salfordian
"An inhabitant, or someone born in, the City of Salford. Not to be confused with a manc, an inhabitant, or someone born in, the neighboring (but separate) city of Manchester. Salfordian is derived from the ancient Atlantisian word Salfordisians, meaning 'those who are Gods'."

Hence the expression "A Salfodian Conceit".

It says Manc. very clearly on your thingy.

You are OK with 8 inches height , just fitted a new battery to my 74 series, width 6 and half inches length 10 inches regards Chris:bounce:
