well I don't know how long it's been on car, checked this morning all cells dry but holding charge, just wanted to know how old it is.
you probably want to top it up then before you do anything else!

yes, just asking if anyone can tell by the numbers how old it is, to fill the battery will take 1-1/2 gallon to top up,
It's completely dry!?
How exactly can you say it's holding charge?

If it’s dry dry the date doesn’t really matter.
I’d try fill it up and do the 2 night charge but not expect much.

Some crap chargers measure the resistance, when it holds all its charge triggers ‘full’
I.e a battery capable of holding 2% charge will show as full at 2%
I.e a battery capable of holding 2% charge will show as full at 2%

yes completely dry other than condensation, showing 12.56 volts,
if there is no fluid in a lead-acid battery then the voltage is zero. no if's or buts

a smart charger will stop charging when it's fully charged and monitor the drop in voltage, charge resumes when the voltage drops below a preset level

Some lead acid batteries do not have any free fluid and adding fluid will destroy them. As others have said, the age is unimportant, what is important is the fully charged voltage and the capacity as determined by a drop test.
are you referring to the likes of AGM? thats true, no free fluid, but equally they are sealed so you can't look inside for a level either
