Hi I have a Freelander Facelift 2005, the back passenger windows keep dropping. Any ideas of a fix for this and if it is very expensive. Would rather have an idea first before I go to a garage.

Thanks

When does it drop? Mine did it whenever I unlocked the car. Changed out the motor and runners and problem solved.

When you shut the door or go over bumps etc, I think it may have "come off the runner" is the only way I can explain. Did you buy the runners new or second hand?

Which back door? The side back doors or tail back door?

It's probably just a broken cable.
I ordered a cable for my drivers door window this morning. It cost £8 and will take me about 30 minutes to fit.

I bought a full kit with a new motor off eBay but you can get them without and just take the old motor out of yours and put it in the new one. Mine cost £68 on eBay and works a dream.

Ahh sorry, I misread your initial post, mine was the tailgate. I think the set up in the doors is fairly similar but Nodge is smart and probably right! :D

They are a right pain to do, I bought just a cable to repair mine but nealy a year on I still can't get the cable to fit so I am going to have to buy a full replacement unit

If you're a cheapskate like Nodge. :p

If you're relying on a garage to do it I would buy the regulators off ebay or amazon complete (or you can buy them complete but without a motor) and bring them with you. That way you're only paying the garage for their labour.
