I have a '99 1.8FL. Every once in a while I'll come back to it only to find the rear window has wound itself right down.
Now I know if you disconnect then reconnect the battery it does this but this can happen if its been parked outside the house overnight, so no mechanicking going on.
It's more of a nuisance than a worry as car crime is very low around our neck of the woods, but I do sometimes leave chainsaws and other expensive bits and pieces in the back and wouldn't want to tempt someone too far. Also I'd rather not come out to find the back full of water after a storm.
Anyone know if this is a known fault or indicative of the imminent failure of some ridiculously expensive part?
