Nah worst we've had here is severe and that was only for a day, meant to get up to 40+ later in the week though :(

yeah been mid 40s here since friday, not too bad now ac is installed in the house. Luckily we normally have the see breeze come in at about 3 in the afternoon. and usually there is no humidity which makes it mildly bearable.

Big fire over the weekend down near Perth had 2 water bombers there.

Yeah we've got AC here too which is a god send ! When were working outside it gets uncomfortable in 35+ though even with shade

There's no real big fires around us, someone's hay she'd went up the other day but that's about it haha

That thing is primitive, american corn drill.

We will be running a 50ft john deere air seeder. all hooked in with GPS and seed rates are automatically controlled from the yield mapping.

Nice been looking at the yield mapping imagery on the combines computer, preety cool but not overly accurate yet only down to around 20 ft still usable tech though

Our farm only has a 4 m air drill and a 6 row maize planter so not big kit 800 acres plus couple of hundred contracted hectare maize planting

fair play, the drill uses green star which is +/- 5mm for the row placement - the local JD dealer has a good service here, but yeah the yield mapping is a bit more of an average over the paddock.

Bit of a ****ty day for me today, just shifting grain into different silo's for seed next year, awaiting to be cleaned and dressed.

new toy to play with, got a silo bagger

Drove it to my hosts parents 100km away and drove preety well sat at 100kph preety easy and the gearbox is still smooth after that many k's :) bit of standard steering vagueness and hops around corners a lottle but apart from that was a beaut :)
