Ok I've had the Disco 4 tonight to go to young farmers and WOW it's just so good, so much power on tap, you feel the 2nd turbo kick in and it takes off. Such a smooth ride even with 19's brilliantly silent, the radio is awesome, I just love it. It'sExpensive but god it's worth it. If anyone is thinking of one it's a big step over the D3 and we'll worth it, the D3 seems agricultural in comparison the next test Is when I next go towing with a big load, see how it really handles

They are fantastic pieces of kit. Had an sdv6 hse on borrow a few weeks back. Didn't want to leave it. Absolutely effortless power for the size of it.

I'd love a HSE so nice inside, but abut out I our price league haha :) ours is really nice though, can't complain :p

Baler twine was invented by god....

That and zip-ties.

Once towed a pretty stuck transit out of a field using a couple of bits of twine.

cable ties is the modern bailer twine :)

if yer cant fix it with one of 4 things, its buggered, them being

Cable Ties
Gaffer Tape
WD40
Hammer

LOL I see that when Apollo 13 broke they had a roll of gaffer tape on board which they used to fix the CO2 scrubber. In fact that list is the main things I take when I go racing.

My mate came in with his skyline today and we've been looking at the swirl pot on it how to modify it to stop it leaking out the top, come up with a plan then he took me out for a quick blast

120MPH in 1/4 mile ...

#### me it's fast

Bet that turbo makes some noise :-D

Is an exposed cambelt not asking for trouble though?

Just a spot. Hold in the cluch, give it full beans and launch control kicks in holding the engine at max boost at 7200 rpm bouncing off the turbo with a spot of anti lag helping along the process :D

So yeah it pops and bangs abit then you take off. Go sideways for the first 50MPH line back up and bang through a load of gears on the sequential box and suddenly you're a lot further away from where you started going rather quickly :p

He lives 3 miles away and you hear him getting home ;)

It'll out accelerate a Bugatti veyron and end up on the fun side of 220 MPH ...

Mental :D

Exposed can belts are common amongst performance folk as it's easier to adjust timing and settings and you can check where everything is plus it runs all sorts of sensors on the crank and cam anyway

mmm...really?

Not saying the skyline isnt fast, but veyrons are ridiculous, but heavy tho, and your mate has gone to the lengths of a sequential box.... Bollox, I dunno. What is it a 32, 3, 4?

That skylinesss niceeeee

and by the looks off the bay alot off time and effort gone into it , nicely welded boost pipes look around 3inch
turbo looms around a gt30 size bet its around 500-700bhp

By UK standards then, deffo not US........ now this is fast 3.58 secs @ 386 mph (621.61 km/h) :p:D

There are factory stock cars that will do that, even modded pickup trucks;)

It's definitely a sequential box... I should know he took me out in it ;)

We'll it was dyno'd recently on pump gas at low boost and made 770 HP at the wheels and seeing as it's just over half a veyron a weight it would blitz it especially when on full tune ;)

The engine, not including turbo and all the good stuff was 17K so there's some serious money in the thing. He's just rebuilt the box because he twisted the main shaft

Yes Thor I know there's more powerful out there but at least this is semi usable on the road it's a freaking handful when the turbo hits boost though ;)

The aim is over 1000 hp but there's more work required to get that, solve the misfire at 8000 and the swirl pot problems are at the top of the list :)

I'm not an expert on skylines I'll post a pic of it when I've got good internet

Here's a pic of it although he's changed the wheel color and added 8 pot front and rear brembo calipers since aswell as a front splitter and other Body air mods :)

hell they got 650hp mustangs stock from the factory will do 200mph;) And you can get over 1000hp from chevy, ford or cummins diesels

Where's the fun in buying power ? ;)

There's lots of things that will make 1000HP diesels at least have block strength for it :) but they'd cost at least the same to do anyway. :)
