I wouldn't recommend tetra schutz for the inside as its too hard to spray I'm gonna make a tool for spraying wax oil inside chassis rails a fan type nozzle or something. This chassis is perfect on the inside must have been sprayed with something like dint roll paint mix as its black coated like paint
ziebart does that coating all the hard to reach places so it doesn't rusty. a far superior product and doesn't need don every year.

Don't worry about hi jacking that's what this thread is for, the spreading of mechanical knowledge
Yeah that would be a good mix. I warmed the schutz to make it easier to spray but it was still abit of a pain, it looks good though and covers up rust so you've got a nice black finish and it's very hard wearing

No this one was a press brake one, for what he charges its not worth me spending the time making one that wouldn't be as good, all fits together easily and is a good design so I just use his ones
My landy used to be that blue aswell

Exactly wasn't on my list, and tbh it was just abit of surface rust. The customers selling the 90 soon so doesn't want to spend too much on it
I also knocked one of his faults off the list, we first thought the rear crank seal may be leaking but it turned out to be the rocker cover gasket so thy saved a big job

Yeah plus if you do that and slap some paint on then the rest of the door looks like crap so you got to clean and paint that. Then what about the hinges, then the body, then this then that! And it's not like you can charge for it because they didn't ask for you to do it. Best thing to do is when they come to pick it up, point out the worst bits and suggest they get it done then when they come back after that job suggest any other bits you see etc. Spreads the cost out for them and keeps work coming in for you.
Fair enough if they are selling it but chances are if they sell it locally the new owner will come to you for future work so now you already have a list of niggly bits to go through with them

how much is bluepoint compared to snap on?
I have brought a few snap on sockets and teng stuff but i love a good set
About 2/3 the price or better usually which is good value for the quality

Whereabouts in Derbyshire are you? It's always nice to know where garages/workshops are that have LR knowledge, seeing as I live next to Derbyshire. Do you do LR repairs for anyone or just agricultural customers?
