i am debating whether to get my local garage to tetra schutz my underneath or do it myself with dinitrol - cost is the same :-s
I will still need to do the chassis inner though, will use dinitrol for that
That x-member looks great
So you reckon waxoyl or similar inside and just shutz gun it outside?
Sorry to hijack your tread lol
Ed
put some primer on the bottom of the back door
Nice bitnof welding there. Did you make the rear yourself? Looks tidy.
This was my first go at a complete one made from scratch.
Turned out like this.
And it wasn't in for that job. Guy's got to make money!
now that is a press! Did you make that?
New tool set
Will be really useful carrying around in the landy too
May I ask who that is made by as looks a nice neat set
Exactly wasn't on my list, and tbh it was just abit of surface rust.
Yeah plus if you do that and slap some paint on then the rest of the door looks like crap so you got to clean and paint that. Then what about the hinges, then the body, then this then that! And it's not like you can charge for it because they didn't ask for you to do it. Best thing to do is when they come to pick it up, point out the worst bits and suggest they get it done then when they come back after that job suggest any other bits you see etc. Spreads the cost out for them and keeps work coming in for you.
Fair enough if they are selling it but chances are if they sell it locally the new owner will come to you for future work so now you already have a list of niggly bits to go through with them
Nice socket set that, BluePoint is made by SnapOn so good quality stuff!
how much is bluepoint compared to snap on?
I have brought a few snap on sockets and teng stuff but i love a good set
