Hi guys

Soon i will be buying and rebuilding a 300tdi rear axle to convert my 2.5td ( 200tdi ) 90 to rear disc brakes inc a full re-furb of the axle aswell but want to know as i will be re-building the front axle first ( 2.5td 200tdi ) axle would both these axle's be compatable with each other for off and on road as i don't want to spend any unesersery money on buying another axle really, what do you think :)

Yes no problem with either axle, although one has a 24 spline and the other a 10 spline diff, there is no difference in speed rating or fitment. The biggest change would be if you were fitting a 300tdi front axle in which case you would require wider radius arms but as it stands your ok

Nice one Albert ;):D

Hi Guys... this looks like the best thread for my question:

Which axles will fit the front of my 2001 90 TD5?... non vented discs, non ABS.

If I go down the refurb route... what is the oldest/youngest axle I could go for?... are Disco 1 axles an option?

Thanks in advance

Ok, still off topic from Rattler's question but I have an answer for you.

Speak to RJ Land Rovers in Sawtry and they will sell you a crated NOS TD5 fully dressed front axle c/w vented discs, calipers etc for an not unreasonable sum of money (£850 in case you are wondering).
Had mine in the garage for a few weeks now (must get around to fitting it sometime!) and it sure beats the hassle of rebuilding mine.
