if i dont have any will any thing be damaged? i cant see that mine has ever had them and i havent had any problems?
 
yes
if yo axles drop - they will stretch the flexible brake pipes with possible loss of fluid and no brakes!!
 
how about on the back are they needed there? as that flexi hose only twists then the axel moves?
 
yer unless the whole axel drops down alot then it may stretch. as its is posistioned cerneral only twisting can occur or am i wrong?
 
i wudnt trust it - but then i have axle straps. If yu want to risk loosin yo brakes - its yo choice.
 
the thing is i am only going to be geting large suspension articulation when i am going slowley off road so if brakes fail then it will be fine! will extra long felxi hoses fix the problem of no straps?

how are yu gonna get home after - and i wudnt wanna be in front going down the next hill!

longer flexy wud help - but why not fit the straps - they shd be there fur a reason.

As I sed - its yo life - yo call - personally i wud want them fitted.
 
if i fit straps my articulation will be shortened! and yes if i am going slowley i can apply handbreak! and for getting home after i always carry a flexi hose with me!
 
Na daft dint yer know that as long as yer go real slow yer won't ever need yer brake ever again. So it won't matter if yer brake line snaps. also you'll know the instant it happens because the abs brake warning light will flash and the 200 decibel siren will sound. course if they both fail and you accelerate with out realising that you've got no brakes you might be a tiny little bit inconvenienced but it won't be a big problem.

Here's an idea totally off the top of my head. Probably won't work and you can call me stupid. BUT what about extended straps, stupid I know but that way you'll get extra articulation and your brake lines wont be stressed. Problem solved

wont they get caught on the odd twig protruding from the ground? same wiv having too long a flexi pipe.
 
no i'll fit some elasticated cord to the top to keep em out of the way
 
dont be daft - that means he wud be doin the work - an not you!

i just had a thort - its a series - why not do without the leafsprings an just have bungies - not likely to notice much difference;)
 
**** 'ee jest jack up a chassis corner & mek sure the wheel lifts afore the flexi cable is too near to running out of available movement? I dunt got check straps & it int caused me a problem yit..............but I do kinda like having brakes, even going slowly!
