ok is this when things start going bad? my 95 3.9 v8i makes a poping sound when going into geer,(both foward and exspecialy in reverse) I have checked all the linkages and noe are loose or bendy, this just started in the past two days after normal driving, should I wory abought a rebuild now or can this be an "easy fix". if anyone has anysuggestion it would be nice.

Have you checked the oil it the box?

kinda scared to drop the pan heard terrer stories from me dad who used to work on american trannys.

Drian the box, then take the pan off carefully you'll be ok
