Well any LR will feel tardy compared to the M3!
They all shift about even when in command shift if the car decides it needs to shift, such as if you're sitting at way too high revs and not accelerating or trying to pull away in 4th (as I did today when chatting away on the phone and forgot I was in CS)
Command shift is great. Yes it will change up or down depending on the situation and if you stop, it will start off in 2nd which is great for bad weather. and will stay there until it hits/gets close to the red line.
I could not force my Yeti DSG into 2nd in bad weather. It would always select 1st regardless. Thats progress for you
