I have a 2015 range rover sport l494 sdv6

Right, question for the experts.

I've got issues with the amk air compressor, for the suspension of my l494.

About 50% of the time, it will go down as intended to access mode, when put into park and the ignition off.

I've replaced the exhaust filter, no difference, then replaced the electronic exhaust valve (both items bought direct from my local landrover dealer), no difference.

Do you think changing all seals and the granules will.finally fix it?
If it doesn't, then I'm at a loss?

The suspension soon will go up.and down as it should, when the button in the centre console is pressed.

Doing the drier granules is always a good thing if you are having exhaust issues, but could give other issues if blocked as it cant get air in.

But as it works on the center console switch I would say it could be another issue, Have that function turned off, do you really need it? it will overwork the whole system (didn't even know about it TBH but its newish)

Do you have an access button on the door switch pack (I dont know your model) does that work?

If the suspension works as intended when the engine is running, then it's a control issue, no amount of work on the compressor will resolve it. Do you get any low battery warnings? it could be as simple as the starter or aux. battery (if fitted) on it's way out.

ETA - you probably know how it's expected to work, just to be sure, here's a LR video of the feature

There are no warnings on the dash at all, for anything.

Read the codes, the only possibly related one I could see, was a body control module fault.

Would this be related to the issues I'm having maybe?
 
I watched that video and wondered what the point to 20mm drop is and to be fair, I'm still not sure if it is going to drop a further 30mm when you open the door. The only reason I could see is that 50mm when opening the door may take too long against the normal time taken to exit the vehicle.

That aside, I use access mode all the time on my L322 but I have to press a button like a peasant because it's old. I'm of the opinion that if it's there it should work and be used, if it brings my compressor to an earlier failure, then so be it, I'll just fix it and carry on using the feature. The car has 165k miles now and it's still working so if that's on original components then I'm not worried about longevity.

That's my tuppence-worth and I'll sign off by saying that as I currently have a split airbag on the rear it is in more than access mode for the moment. This morning I ordered a Bilstein replacement set (ouch) and have to wait for DPD to bring it to me tomorrow from the company that is opposite the barbers I am about to go to who don't offer collection anymore so I will be able to see where the part is and then hope that DPD do their thing efficiently and I can fit it and have the car back on the road on Saturday.
