I'm new to the forum and wanted to say, stunning build thread. Just spent a long time reading it all. Inspirational and well executed. Now, where's that credit card and my box of spanners:)

Welcome. :):)

Enjoy LZ and remember this Disco has taken over seven years of my time!

:D:D

Since when did heated screens have a lifetime warranty? They're total **** and fail after a couple of years!

(Speaking from experience)

I have it in black & white. It's one of those "current owner clauses" so I think they are banking of cars staying with an owner/keeper for a couple of years. Can't sell mine and certainly won't be breaking it.

Nothing in my warranty documents for life time on any thing. LR warranty was just one year, although it could be extended for a further four years at a £1000 per year.

It's not what I wanted to spend £80 on but the crack was only every going to get worse.

My roof light wiring runs inside the snorkel so when I removed it I pulled some fishing line through to help replacement.

New rubbers too :)

I had it replaced earlier this year - Autoglass/Auto Windscreens or something like that. Whether or not the warranty covers the glass or the labour - I don't want to cut the plugs off within the first year to wire it up. ;);)

Hi Sam,

Many thanks. I think it's the male ones I need (the ones attached to the Disco's wiring loom). Are they the same price? Do they come with wire attached or is it easy to solder them one?

Cheers

Rob.

Just heard back from him - they're the same price Rob, no wires but easy to solder. Let me know if you want a pair and I'll put you in touch - you know I'm not skimming a bit off in the middle that way ;)

Cheers Sam

Wicked - sounds good. If you PM me his details I'll order some. Thanks for your help. :D:D

Hmmmm well if you do have warranty then I don't blame you for trying so hard to find these plugs.

If be amazed if the heating elements themselves are warranted but if they are that's awesome, because as above, they are not great usually!

Did you have any problems with those spacers as they are the non centric ones and I've heard they are dangerous:confused:

Are your bits required all for Disco 1 ?

Never had any problems. The angle on the inside of the hole matches the angle on the nut so it gets pulled into a central location every time. Had 60mm on before this and another pair of 30mm before those. All fine. Got slinky black anodised on now and they are fine too and that's with 315/70/17s. :D

Yep, all the bits I need are for my Disco. What have you got hidden then? ;)

Yeah Landys don't seem to mind non hub centric spacers Pete

Think it's cos the pcd and studs are so big!

I'll have a look at Disco, should have door rubbers for cables and lamp retainers, what colour trim is it, mines brown (1994):)

Thanks mate, I'm not going to abuse it so they should be ok, just so as I can fit Disco alloys with centre caps:)
