Hello, I have recently purchased a 1995 Discovery 3.9L v8i.

Everything is great on it except sometimes when your accellerating, it accellerates then starts to slow even tho the revs stay the same, and if you dont put the clutch in and give it a bit of revs, a huge clunking sound comes from the front left hand side of the car. any ideas.

Thanks.

Transmition wind-up may be but only if the transfer box has diff-lock selected so make sure the selector lever is over to the right and in H (high).
And :welcome2: to the Forum

the selector lever is currently in the middle. which knowing my luck will have never been used and will need a bit of penetrating oil and a bit of elbow grease.

So it wants to be in the top right. do i need to have the engine on and clutch down for this?

EDIT: I MEANT BOTTOM RIGHT. and i have now put it to HI

Just to let you all know. it wasnt anything to do with the gearbox, transfer box or engine... its my LPG system not functioning correctly... Because everything works fine when driving on petrol.
