ASDA have their oil on offer at the mo:5 lts of 5W30 semi synthetic £12.00 and 5lts of 5W30 fully synthetic £20.00.
It states the semi meets Ford Zetec/Duratorq specs and that is quite a fussy engine with its fine clearances on cam followers etc.

In actual fact that's quite a low spec oil - A1 B1.

I wouldn't use it.

What is wrong with 5w30 Fully Synthetic oil -A1 B1?
After all it's what Land Rover advocate .

What motor you wanting to use it in?

5w30 is for artic weather not summer temps

Whilst 5w-30 is good for low temps it's also good for an ambient temp of up to 30°C.

The Arctic sounds like the next summer holiday hot spot then.
