Yes, the led ones would be perfect for work near to the vehicle as they spread the light out rather than spot into the distance.

there's quite a few sellers have them for around the same kinda price, if I get some i'll let you know what like, not picking landy up till I go home at Christmas though, but it is getting MOT'd this week :D

I was at the sort out at Newbury Show ground in October... I bought a good quality one of these, metal back, fully waterproof etc etc, haggled him hard to £20 from £25 new. Completely forget the name of the company, but they were in a white tent of their own in the centre of the site ish. I'll get a picture up tomorrow, but frankly it's fantastic, it is on the side of the D90, screwed into the roll cage. Use it for camping, it runs off the battery, but with very low amp hours, I think it would take a full day to drain the battery, which is mega convenient to have a nice light area and no need for head torches/hand held ones which you can forget etc. Don't know what the cheap ones are like, but I'm looking at another for the rear.

Yeah, it's smaller in size by the looks of it, maybe half the size, same width, half height. I just browsed the links above also, similar in nature to the one that is £19 I think. I might just go to the car park and take a pic with it lit up now we're in the perilous darkness of winter

Here you go, couldn't be bothered starting it up, but you can see the beam goes far enough despite the other cars along the line!

its the word jeep i smile at....

Fair one! They are good imho, decent price, as long as it's got all the waterproofing qualities to keep it sweet.

Small and mighty!

actually used that seller before in portsmouth.
must buy by the containerfull of stuff.
had christmas lights last year plus other stuff that i cant think off...
buy to much soddin stuff when i`m stuck indoors tbh..

At least he is reputable!
Haha, luckily to stop me spending money on my Landy, I've booked two ski holidays for next year, my missus has banned me from buying stuff despite spending most of my day on the computer. Half hour internet, 5 minutes work. Repeat!

Ref the led lights there is a reasonable review of a range of led lights in LRO this month. According to them you seem to get what you pay for. There always is the equation of deminishing returns against not worth the outlay. BoB

Just got these. Exactly the same as the Durite ones, that are £40+ each, apart from the Durite sticker.

I have replaced the big hella handle top halogen work lights that were fitted from when my Landy was an airport fire response vehicle.

They are brighter, but as people say the light is more general, not a spot light, I generally use them for reversing, working outside at my mates yard, or for putting my mountain bike back on the rack when I have been out riding, as the plantation car park is pitch black this time of year. They are way smaller and hardly noticeable , compared to the old lights, and are plenty good enough.

I fitted some of the oval 2 led durite lights on the front roof bar last year, and tbh was disappointed. They cost £35 each Trade and I fitted 4, they don't really light up as bright as one of the new rears (same number of LEDs combined).

these look basically the same as my one! So may invest in this again for the rear and other side!
