If you do go check it out, make sure the V5C is correct and that the chassis and engine numbers match. Has he got a bill of sale from previous owner? Is the chassis etc as rot-free as he says?

There are, as has been said, usually very good reasons why people take pics out of focus, in the dark and rain .. there _is_ something wrong about the advert. No excuse this day and age for semi-literate adverts, spell checked stuff will always sell better and won't, as this is doing, ring as many alarm bells. Ask questions that most owners would/should know, does it have the egr still on it, what size tyres, ;), How has he lifted it, just blocks or dampers and springs etc

Offer to deal off ebay, see what he says!

dvla records shoe correct colour and engine size and it has tax paid..

still i would want to know where the drive train has come from and a 90 with a rot free chassis is probably fake..the defender chassis of that age will be rusty so to say an older 1 is clean may be worth inspection..

is so its worth 2.5 k top as its a bitsa..
