Right Flumps reality check time if you have to pay someone to drive all that way and back again 950 odd miles it's gonna cost you at least £500. You could buy a disco for that money.

If you can't find a trailer to put it on, you need to decide if your gonna risk travelling down there on the train and getting it sorted & driving it back That's gonna cost you the best part of £100 for fuel £50 for MOT plus any parts & another £100 for the train which will get you as far as Oban. If you've got a student or young persons rail card this'll be cheaper.

Everyway you look at it, It's gonna cost you the price of a cheap disco to go and collect it. My advice is forget it. Let someone else buy it and look for something nearer to home..

There was a Series III in the local paper here for £350 recently... so you could buy a series locally for what it'll cost you to go pick that one up.
 
I think pikeys right actually (ahm gonna regret saying that) Maybe I should just say fook it, concentrate on saving even more and blinker myself to only look at IIIs and penders with v8s which is what I ultimately want.
 
almost enough! lol. I need to get my arse in gear and sell all of this crap I've got sat around, theres a gorgeous ex mod rag top 110 v8 a few villages away but he wants 2.5k for it, not QUITE there yet.
 
you still in need of a tow? i have a guy regulary goes to and from scotland (dumbfries), he could bring it back to merseyside at the right price. interested??
