Just wondering of anyone has/knows someone with an LPG kit from www.tinleytech.co.uk how it runs, easy to install, support????

I have one, it was already fitted when i had the car. Although tinley tech are very helpfull they can`t help me with the problems i am having but to just keep changing parts. They did give me the phone number of 2 people who deal with this system in my area but one had ceased trading and the other was a total idiot. No one else in my area will touch it and the lpg forums cant help either. I have been running my 4.6 on petrol only for 18 months now as it is going to cost me £1000,00 to get the front end replaced.
So from my point of view buy a better system.

I bought solenoids, pipe and fittings from them and it was all good quality stuff and delivered very fast.
Cant believe that it will cost a grand, the whole system can be bought for less than that, I need a new thingy that converts the liquid to gas at the front and I'm going to buy one and fit it myself, it's not that difficult if you have done brake pipes and plumbing.

No one knows whats wrong with it it just won`t idle, i cant find a fault and the bigas specialists open the bonnet connect their laptop and confirm that all is ok but cant understand why it wont run unless the system is made to run extremely rich, then it doesnt run propery anyway. All parts have been checked and the petrol side has been checked and is perfect. I can fit a new front end myself but if i do and it still runs the same i still have the problem to sort, the price was for a local lpg fitter to put one of the better front ends on then he has the problem.
I didnt mean that the stuff was no good from tinley tech just that i have found that when there is a problem the system doesnt have a very good following with professional fitters so it can be almost impossible to get difficult problems fixed. There are better systems out there and if your local fitter also uses them at least if you cant fix the problem you do have some back up.

My local installer is after £2000 to supply and install the sequential injection system so needless to say i am trying to source a Diy kit, Although im an electrician im pretty mechanically minded (half to be if you own a land rover) so will have no problem installing it myself its the commissioning and support help that i need.

definately the fuel isnt getting through!!!
if the pipes 6mm from the tank you would be better with 8mm, this wouldnt explain it not running at all tho.
i would (you have probably been through the mill, but humour me) attempt to check if the injectors are correct, it must have run ok at some point?????
also check the filter, you need to establish which side of the vapouriser the fault is.
i wonder if its a cross in the wires somewhere and its not firing the right injector at the right time?
lpg systems do get clogged with gunk out of the gas, its suprising how dirty it is!

The system was running right after the engine rebuild and gradually got worse, the tank sender and valve has been changed, the injectors have been stripped cleaned and checked, filters and under bonnet pipework changed,all wiring double checked, and the vapouriser has been stripped and was extremely clean. I have also removed the inlet manifold and replaced the gaskets and seals.
Anyway its got to the stage where i need to spend quite a bit on it again without the lpg so its got to go around the summer, i would definately have an lpg car again (this is my second the first was a 3.9 classic) so maybe a mk 3

i had a steep learning curve with my car in general. the lpg system was poorly maint'd, although it works excellently now i had to change the ecu pcb as it had burned out and wasnt moving the stepper motor.
getting the system set up correctly was a nightmare at first but after a week of fiddling and testing i got it running fine. now i'm quite used to checking it and tweaking if needed.
its a shme it wont work, do you have the software or it?

Yes i have the software for the lpg, and a faultmate for the rest of the car, that is the best investment anyone with one of these cars can ever make and i am quite handy with a spanner but this one has everybody beat as technically there isnt anything to stop it working properly.
I love the range rovers this is the second one i have had but the 5th in the family, my dad has a diesel at the moment. They are brilliant cars and very shure footed in the current weather conditions.
