Wams only worried cuz he dont have a passport to come south

Us knowledgable superior northerners are only allowed as far south as the nearest airport. We then fly at great altitude over the southern half of the country to avoid contracting any contagious diesese or a southern accent. :D:D:D:D

I imagine it's down south so all the Chelsea tractors can go without their tyres leaving tarmac and be back in time for the school run.

Hey its a lot harder to drive in Kensington and Chelsea than you think... there's dog **** everywhere you definitely need a 4X4 down there

Yup, it's definitely LandyZone.
Twenty four posts from - we have a get together to sliding about on dog **** via a few North/South insults.
Anyway lets have a show of serious interest and a logical meeting area might show itself.
As for me, I don't mind travelling.

No insults from us up here just honest observations. :D:D:D

That would be a southern chapter meet then? Have you any idea how far that is away for the majority of members. I can just imagine someone driving down from Elgin for a pint and a natter. :D:D:D

Look, you've got the pier and Northern Soul nights:D

I have yet to stop laughing at this post..........:clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2:

Wycombe on my doorstep so not bad for me! The Chilterns are very pretty nearby. Not much green laning here there though. More over towards Essex but that's the arse-end of nowhere for most people to get to.

There's Waddesdon Manor further on in Bucks but that might be a bit far from a trunk road for guests from further than London. Would look good seeing a train of Rangies going down the drive though.

Didcot Railway Centre is at the junction of the A34 and M4, near enough. Easy to get to and lots of free parking there but not the most picturesque surroundings. No idea on food either.

Or possibly head to the smoke and Richmond Park. Again, food may be an issue but loads of room and a circle of Rangies going round it would look good.

Gaydon could be a good call. Blenhiem Palance is up there too, isn't it? Easy for the Black Country lads to get to and anyone from London can just bang up the M40.

Somewhere in Solihull - that 's kind of midway?

Um,

Motorcycle Museum - A45 out of Brum?

Bletchley Park?

Maybe arrange some lightweight offroading in the middle of the country somewhere? To arrive at a pub for lunch?

See Mintys post about LZ11 last year was a good weekend and had some great greenlaning and also cheap camping and beer tent and other attractions only problem that it might be for Range Rover owners is that there might be Defenders and Freelanders there.
If I was around I would be attending it this year but unfortunately will not be able to attend.

If you do have a southern meeting make sure you have internet service, so if any of you break down you can contact us up here for how to get it going. :D:D:D

Im up for a meet!!!!!!!!! What about the downs or a day at the seaside? I am just outside brighton and know some great places for a meet and some food and a good chat! Would be brilliant to meet some of the characters on here in the flesh.................................................oh hang on...............um............. LOL!!

My suggestion is to meet at Gaydon Heritage centre sometime in the morning, visit the centre and then drive the 12 miles or so to Wagtail off road centre which has some easy and tricky parts to it, so anyone like me who doesn't want to scratch the hell out of their paintwork can muck about in the mud, whilst any of the others can go for it the pit and woods.

But I am also up for a more northern or maybe Wales green laning meet if someone knows some paintwork friendly lanes

LZ11 is going to be held at stanford hall in Leicestershire on may15/16/17....we are arranging all sorts of laning trips from pretty but scratch free for the shinies to a little more scratchy . You are only about twenty minutes from gaydon if you wanted to visit the museum and the land rover experience site.

We have all the infra structure already arranged in terms of entertainment food and drink ...you would just have to turn up. ....if youwwanted you could organise some specific activities that you may find interesting to other rangie owners.

We have camping options available for the whole weekend or there are hotels five miles away from the site...or bring your own caravan. If you just wanted to come for the day to meet people then we have tickets for that too.

It'd be great to see many more of the members of especially the freelander and range rover forums come along...its a great event and its already arranged which saves you all the arguing and disagreements of where and when to hold your meet.

Happy to provide more information on the weekend if you want and happy for suggestions about activities that you'd like to be included

Mix with the hoi polloi? Never!

May I remind you.......

I'm game for this! I'm up in West Yorks, so I might steal a night at a friends in Oxfordshire if it's going to be in H. Wycombe. It'd be good to see the mental sanity of my RR owning peers

(it can't be too good, if we all bought Rangeys....)
