A question I had asked on here a few years ago, just curious to see if anyone else uses their defender td5 for work purposes still. Farming etc?
I see a few old farmers still using there td5 defenders here in Devon, I’d guess the clock is ticking though as even the last td5 are quite old now, I have been using mine every day since 2016 and it has been fantastic

Not for work, but until I retired I was driving my 1984 110 with 200tdi to work every day that's 25 miles each way. Plus I use it for launching and recovering boats of up to 3/4 ton.

Regularly go beating and the game keeper still has a TD5 110 pickup with Ifor Williams rigid cover to move the beaters around, he calls it the pig wagon, it should be called the sardine tin as you get crammed in like Sardines along with several dogs, great fun though.

My TD5 is still my main load carrier. It's not something I get paid for, so I couldn't call it professional, but is shifts all my timber, cement and other building materials, bundles of fencing wire, garage doors, pipes and much else besides, and it's carried over 12,000 trees to my smallholding.

My 110 200tdi was my daily drive before the firee doing about 30k per year. As well as the mileage it spent it’s time towing and being used for “work” although that was all hobby stuff. The high mileage was work travel but not hard work if that makes sense. The td5 I currently have until the rebuild is finished is being used in the same way but is a little small for some of the load carrying duties the 110 did so have a sankey for that. But as soon as the 110 is back on the road it will be back to a daily drive doing high mileage and all the Land Rover work thins you would expect.

until about 18 months ago yes, she towed a double axle caravan across the country without a false step and a stuck actuator! wonderful work horse and stunning to look at - Epsom Green.
