If anyone is coming down to the west side of France/Spain in the next couple of weeks or so and could bring an alternator with them I would be extremely grateful. :) PM me.
I have also posted in the Courier service page.

I know its not near you Keith I going to Belgium in december.

Very kind but a bit too far away, would cost in more diesel than the carriage I'm trying to save.
Thanks for the offer though:)

May be doing a flight to biarritz in the next couple of weeks if its any help to. But its touch and go, excuse the pun, so unreliable and i have a feeling you may want sooner.

Again, very kind, but if you are flying Ryanair it would take up most of your luggage allowance and Biarritz is further from me than the channel:)

I'll pray for fog so you have to divert to Poitiers LOL
It was a kind thought:)

Have been to Biard a few times, will let you know if we plan to go in and see if you need anything...Pukka pies, bisto, Twinnings etc :D
I've been in France for going on 13 years now so apart from Marmite I have adjusted to all things French, including a very nice French wife.

Flights to the UK? Not really, I always drive as the kids expect their wine supplies. They are having a dry Christmas this year as we are not coming over.:) Saving for the gearbox replacement.

They can only come in school hols, unfortunately the alternator knew this and chose to die at an inconvenient time. Trouble is the car is blocking the barn:mad:

Is it totally dead Keith, or just bearings or control unit?

Armature went up in smoke, probably due to old age or the regulator failing. The smoke was quite amazing:eek: It is 26 years old so it has done well. It's off my MR2. May have found a secondhand one at a price I can afford:)
