ok my landy a 1989 2.5 td 90 started blowing out white smoke after taking her through a river so i thought it had taken on some water it was running like a bag of bolts as well more so when cold the smoke was really bad on start up but when it gets going it seems the more load the engine is under the less smoke there is so i took it to my mates garage he did a pressure test on it and said the head gasket had gone which it had and the water pump and the radiator and the injectors had seen better days as well also had the head skimmed and the value clearances done so it was all replaced which as you can imagine cost a few quid so when it was all back together you guested it still blowing out smoke so he drained the tank to see if the fuel had been contaminated there was a little water in there but still its blowing smoke it drives so much better but its driveing me mad should i just live with it or try and find the cause any ideas cherrs mark.
