am i missing something here?? all they seem to be after are the chelsea tractor brigade. admittedly i dint read all the site , from what i did read they are after URBAN 4x4's.. not the ones that are used as they were intended to be used. i.e school runs and the weekly trip to tescos mob.. which going by past comments on LZ is abart the same as has been said by various members of LZ.
its the ****s that wanna ban 4X4's totally you should be looking for, not the people that have the same ideas as yer 'real' 4X4 drivers. I.e the people that give us a bad rap because all they ever do is the school run etc.. the ones that nevva take the vehicle on anything rougher than the local sportsfield when they help set up the tombola stand fer the yearly fund raising bbq..
you should leave them alone because if they DO suceed in getting shot of the chelsea tractors then the rest of the anti-4 x4 protesters will have that much less to complain about and will move on to something else. thereby leaving us in peace.
so get back in there and sign their pertition to stop this victimisation of proper 4X4's

5% of 4X4s are actually used offroad? Really? Thought it would be much lower than that.
Especially as a B.O.A.T is actually classed as a road so they must only be referring to private land/pay & play's/events etc.
I'd LOVE to catch some misguided geeny putting one of them parking tickets on my truck. It'd take a major operation to retrieve it from the little fekers insides.

Course not, it's all posturing & voxpop. Anyways, they don't need to make a noise for the government to legislate against us. The NERC bill went through without consultation or challenge. The only place we'll have left to drive soon will be in towns!

is it just 4x4's you are against or cars with large engines. for example, is it ok to have a jaguarwith a 4.6 litre engine but not a 4x4 with a 1.3 litre engine, or is it just large 4x4's. if its the latter why is it you are not anti large engined 2wd cars. i await your answer in anticipation

It's all very well saying get rid of the chelsea tractor brigade, I personally don't see the point in people having them to drop the kids off either (I used to drive a Renault Espace which in some respects was a much more practical vehicle, until it gets rough and muddy). BUT we do (supposedly) live in a free country, so if you wan't do own a 4x4 you should be able too.

until it became a fashion item no one paid much heed if you had a 4x4 . now that the streets are full of them and greenham common is closed . the greenies have switched from nukes to orf roaders... let them get shot of the fashion statements and once the numbers of 4x4 drop they'll move on to something else.. microwave ovens probelly
