When i turn off the engine and remove the keys and open the door to get out i get the display "Key left in ignition"??

I am unable to lock the car with me fob and have to do it manually with key!!

I have done a search and cannot find anything.

Theres probably a stuck tumbler inside the lock, try a little squirt of WD40

or better still a dry-lube like graphite.

Hi

First step would be that as long as no other errors are cropping up, it sounds like the sensor in the ignition is acting up, it keeps detecting the key even after the key is removed.

Have a look at RangeRovers.net under repair and alarm diagnosis, there is a section on False Ignition Key In which might well hold an answer for you.
