GT ADVENTURO M/T TYRES 33 12.5 15. That's what I've got my eye on. So they will be bigger than my 265 75 16 insa turbos?? Can't stand the noise out of them on the road any longer, great off road but they don't half buzz on road.

Nicky They will be bigger but not by a huge amount. Go as big as you can squeeze in fook the cost just throw money at it

So this weeks plans. I've got a set of bush cables lying around. Gonna see if I can for them nicely. So still look fairly even and still doing there job. It's going to be hard because the awning is level with the snorkel past front of windscreen. But about 7/8" above it.
And also just ordered a rear ladder. Climbing in the spare wheel is doing the modified carrier no good atall! Pics will be up soon

Just orders the ladder, set of 3 circlip pliers and another propshaft tool from island4x4 for less than 65 quid delivered. How have I not herd of this website before. A lot of it is ****part but they have a couple different brands of almost each part!

Hi mate, your Disco is obviously the dogs balls but those two Deuche are just real beauties!!!
They would be worth BIG money over here if the actual condition is as good as the pictures imply. The fourgonnette particularly appeals to me.

Biglad, bonjour! Yes they're both minters. We have a i think 1963 ami aswell that's exactly as it left the factory. I shall take a pic for you tonight.
They're not to cheap over here either. Had one 2cv that was shot to bits. And a bloke from france came over to have it for spares!

It's weird isn't it? You would imagine that if there was anywhere on Earth, France would be the place for cheap 2CV spares - but no!
A mate of mine is barmy about 2cv so I'll send him a link to your cars - that'll get him drooling!

Too many mods in not enough pages IMO, we need more spec! We want more detail!
What I do know is it looks to be an awesomely prepped overlander, very nice.
I did have a question but I have forgotten it
More specs will happen as of I just never seem to get the camera out while I'm doing it
plus I've been doing it for coming up 6 years. I can't possibly remember all of it lol. In the mean time anything you want to no specifics off and ill post it up n go take some pics lol.

So hers abit more then mr noisy.
Got the ladder all finished. It was supplied with some rivnuts which is nice but I suspect not many people have a tool to fit them! I do but it happens to be broken. So a few holes and some "bodgebolts" it's on and much handier than climbing up the spare wheel. And also makes getting up on the bumper a LOT easier.
A few jobs I've got waiting around are the cables. I think I've found a way to mount them nicely but still working properly. The best compromise for the snorkel side I think is to go through the small hole on the ally piece of the awning then down to the eye which ill mount on the light bar.
And anothe little job I have is "neaten" the cb up. I did it at home one morning after seeing the dedicated channel thread so was abit messy. I've got another head lining front trim to mess around with. Still not sure on best way? What's everyone else done? I don't want it by my feet. Or on the dash.... Fussy I no lol.
I'm also in need of a rear fold down table off of the back door. I've seen lots about but thus bein a Hugely budgeted build I'm going to make somthing up instead. Why pay when I have the tools etc....
I also had abit of a re arrange yesterday. The beer table was tucked in on the left hand side of the storage boxes. And was abit difficult to get out. So well see how this new setup will change. Oh and I made some brackets up out of some cable to wall mount brackets, to put the new toy(axe) in. I can't believe they let me buy it, I walked to a garden center over the road drunk out of my mind at Peterborough and came back with an axe! A toy duck. And a roll of garden fence edging stuff!

So been a busy few weeks for me and got a spare few hours to spend on the disco.
I spent the grand total of about 40 quid and come up with this

Home! So I bought a sheet or ally for just less than 20 notes at 750mmx500x1.5
A length of 20x20x2mm steel box at £5
A piano hinge 600mm from eBay at about £6
And some rubber bonnet catches to fix it upright for again about £6 delivered.
I wanted to fit the woman's washing bowl in the end so it's not on the floor and now she's to no excuse! So I started with measuring that and to sit under the handles it measured as 350mm so that dictated how deep the table was and it fits nicely. Not in the rear view or anything!
3 lengths of 350mm cut
Left just 197cm so decided to just less than half that at 950mm each for the length of the table.
I trimmed the ally and glued an screwd it down.
Then once painted etc fitted it to the door and set about the best way to hold the table level. I used a guy rope. Fixed in the two corners of the table and through eyes screwed to the door. There's no real reason for using one length rather than 2 separate pieces that I can see. I'm fairly happy with how it turned out and I'm sure it'll get improved as time goes on. I may just make a water tank now for the rear footwell and have a pump putting water to a tap mounted above the bowl and also mount a cargo met under the table for abit more storage of towels etc

So spent the weekend in forest of dean. The woman's new washing up and cooking table worked great. Just need a few adjustments to the hinge and the guy rips and all will be dandy.
Also went to visit me pup. Bella. Picking her up sometime in the next week..
