Hi hope you don't mind me asking but what have you used to make your spats (tyre covers)?? My dad and I are currently building a Trialer and are getting to the point where we need to start thinking about this problem, we have also used disco 2 axles so big spats are a must!

Hi, it is 3mm HDPE sheet which is very tough stuff, put some in the vice and try and rip it.
3mm - HDPE Black Sheet - Direct Plastics Online

I heated it with a hot air gun and bent to shape. Unfortuantly it can't be bonded so bolts, screws or rivets are needed, the other option is plastic welding if you buy a welder.

Thanks for the quick reply that stuff seems dirt cheap! We are currently at this point

It is now running driving and has brakes! Seems like a long road!

Ye. I have entered my RRC into the RTV and think it's safe to say that you are closer to the end.

The old man does love a tidy up!!

It's got a 4.6 running gems management, I'm not a big fan of distributors or carbs!! It an auto meaning rear prop is pretty short!

I'm in chiltern vale and have been for about 14 years!!

You guys are making me think I need a BW on my 90, I've got a few here might have to have a think... I need to swap out the 1:1003 tranny box now it's on 3.5:1

I know plenty of people that want that 1:1.003 transfer.

Borg warner is awesome. I got around turns that a well speced trials motor with reversed disco steelies couldnt with the help of a little handbrake ;)

You coming to Sewell tomorrow? I will be there, so will Jue and April.

I have plans for my CCV build to start after this year's Nationals and be ready for 2016. All I am going to say is mine will have a series look about it.

Yea 1:1003 go for upwards of £200 only issue I have is I was going for stock gearing so I can tow the trials motor eventually but thinking 1.222 is a bit high for towing with my wee silly 200tdi

My bfg km2's are 33 inch measured so I was trying to keep 1.4 will have a think. 1.4 was screaming so maybe a 1.222 will be ok

I've got one of them transfer boxes I think they come off the 3 speed Range Rover boxes? If anyone wants it make me an offer,

Yep will be at Sewell tomorrow haven't trialled in a while so prob be a nice high score!! If your planning on building a Trialer I'd give yourself at least a year!

I run my 90 on a 1.222 it with 235/85's most of the time it's fine but if you need to pull away up hill with a trailer on its clutch slipping time! Overdrive would be a better option but £££££

I'll be in the same boat. Once I get the 90 back together it will have been nearly two years since I've used it trialling ALRC. I may well stick in a Borg Warner and there is always low range I guess!

I have most of the bits, I have the cage at my dads all ready from Tornado along with the shortened chassis that just needs bobtailing to fit the cage. Bulkhead, engine, box and axles are floating about at my workshop so just needs putting together. But ye a year is my target, couple of CVLRC trials to test it would be nice to test it though.
