I have been looking to replace the rubber seals on my Alpine windows, all I can seem to find is kits that come as a length of rubber with filler, is there actually a proper seal for the job or is this the way its always been replaced.

That is the normal way it is done. Britpart version are too hard.
There is an online seller of seals that can provide it attached a drawing with glass and panel thickness as you need these.
What I could not fin was one that would do the radius of the corners give up after yeras of leaks and changed my roof for one without the alpine windows.

I've done the roof windows in my Dormobile top. Get the softest seal strip you can otherwise it won't go around the corners. Leave it about 1/4" long and force the ends in as it shrinks back a bit after a few days. Buy the tool, looks like a waste of money unitl you try to get the filller strip in without it. The tool does it without damaging the seal and its one handed so you can feed the filler with the other hand. Put string in the seal, lay the glass on it and pull the string out to flip the seal over the glass.

I did my alpine seals when I had the hart top fitted with seals from seals direct (Google seals direct) They offer various seals - the important aspect (side from groove width of the glass) is to choose one which can bend around the tight radius.

Do you have a part number for the alpine seals you fitted? It would be a great help save me trying to reinvent the wheel,

I've just gone through my file of bills / receipts for the Land Rover but I can't find that particular one unfortunately.
It was about 6-7 years ago though now.

I seem to remember that the glass thickness was 4mm and the metal part 1mm. I'think' it might have been their product code WR62 looking at their website. I would measure your glass / metal to be sure as Land Rover spec may well have changed over the years.
