We run on Nexen road biased A/T 255/65R15 tyres. having traction control helps, but they worked well in the laning at last year's LZ get together.

was that the All Terrain or the Mud Terrain BFG's?

the only Insa Turbo's I can find are remoulds, wont ever get remoulds just don't trust them
AT's.... INSA are remoulds.... You need to read up on them as INSA really isn't a traditional rip and re-tread remould.

I just googled Insa turbo tyres and all that comes up is either remold's or retreads on giga-tyres.co.uk or mytyres.co.uk web sites, only typed it in for a nose not buying as I've already ordered my tyres, just had another look on the 4x4 tyres.co.uk the ones on there aint remolds

I had some general grabber AT2 tyres that where great on road and green laning. Unfortunately at home I have a very wet slippy grass bank that I need to get up in the winter. The AT2 is not getting me up there so I went for a set of Insa Turbo Saharas that make it most of the time apart from when it rains.......but boy have they made a mess of the track as they have to dig in to get a grip. It will recover in the spring but I will be looking at putting some sort of track in as I don't like the mess the car makes when it drips all the mud back on the drive!!!

I went for BF Goodrich All Terrain 265/75 R16 I have the Mud Terrain ones at the moment so just stuck with the same brand. only getting two done at a time so be a while before I notice if they quieter than the Mud tyres.
Are they the new pattern all terrains?

Changed mind at last minute went for the Mud Terrain as I already have them fitted and never had any problems with them. No idea if they have new patterns or not yet, tyre getting fitted today will let you know later

Mud terrains have been km2's for a while it's only the all terrains that have recently 'improved' the tread pattern

Kt03s seemed OK for a bit of everything when I had them but they weren't as aggressive as other mt's. Not that it matters now.

I have cooper stt pros on mine, which look like an aggressive mud tyre, and are fantastic in the mud etc, and on road they are phenomenally quiet!
Some the the stuff we do for work, all terrains just wouldn't cut it, so I went for these muds even though my majority of miles are on the tarmac! I have them in 235/85 r16 form, and the design of the treads apparently makes them quieter than the old bfg all terrain!!

Cheap too, and last longer than any remould (obviously). I like the idea of being able to go litterally anywhere that takes my fancy, so I wont compromise my off road ability! :)

first time using at3 cooper tyres ,

have been pleased with them so far,

will be good to see what there like on the lz13 lanes, lol

I like how a few of you on here compare the road noise of MT's compared with AT's yet the tyre labels say they are all 74db or there abouts there are a few that are exempt from tyre label so its hard to compare without actually road testing. My landy came fitted with MT's and I'd say most of the noise comes from the engine not the tyres but its a nice noise

I had some deestone extra tractions on a fender. Sounded like a helicopter was following you everywhere.
