Pleased with how it cam out. A bit excessive for some MOT repairs, but that's how it goes. Hopefully it will last a few years now though.

Axles and suspension parts next I think!

thats a hench rear xmember lol, that will last longer than any other part on the chassis lol

Yeah it should take some abuse. Just using what I had available to me. Think I'll need to fit some HD rear springs though haha

All cleaned up, time to replace wire brushes :D

Not sure how far you are now but it would be nice to see some more of this fabrication work :)

Great job on building it back with patches over just slapping a new galvanized chassis under there ;)

And as far as the stub axle where the seal land is, you could just speedi-sleeve it, I had great results with them in the past and have even done a power steering box with them too.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement!

Not been working on this one for a while but finally have some progress to show.

After getting the rear axle all painted up I turned to the bits that hold it on.

Going to try crack on with it now and get it built up.

good man.

On other news, that grate would make quite a good welding/cutting table insert/top.

Hmmmm.......

That is my small welding table yes, think you can see a few tacks in front of the turrets. Made it out of scrap I found in the yard.

nice, will keep my eyes open for somehting suitable down the metal yard near me. Re-doing my garage workshop this year and could do with a proper welding surface rather than just doing it on the floor......
