Hi I new to the forum so please be gentle
I bought a 2002 Range Rover vogue last week, 2 days later the front suspension has raised to max height and will not come down !
The rear still works as usual I have changed both front height sensors but has made no difference at all .
No codes stored when scanned I’ve tried to calibrate suspension but still nothing any suggestions?? Thank you in advance

Welcome to the mad house. What diagnostics are you using? Not all diagnostics work on the L322.

First suggestion would be take it back.
Second would be what diagnostics did you use?
Third would be: Try this in future posts ;)

I do apologise lol
Please and thank you in advance

No worries. For some reason, maybe because it is the internet, newcomers sometimes forget they are asking total strangers, to give them free help. So a please or thank you goes a long way.

Snapon solus
I'm afraid on this one my knowledge stops at Modus could recalibrate, so Solus should. BUT what I can do is light the Batsignal
@holidaychicken , @kds, @Henry_b , @Saint.V8 etc, etc

You can now sit back and wait for the Gurus and knowledgeable types

sorry about that I must have forgotten my manners for a minute back there
Thank you very much

First thing why change sensors did they show a fault ? put the original ones back on try changing heights see if any thing changes, one other thing that might be worth a look at is on the compressor in the boot, a little cone shape thing try pulling it off the pipe they get blocked and wont let the suspension go down. Just going to throw in @holidaychicken @myfirstl322 (supercharged you know) @backinblack and @Saint.V8 on this.

Can you lower the front suspension with the Snapon solus?

Edit: Can you lower it with diagnostics but it goes back to full height or is it stuck at full height ?

I was told by a “mate” that the sensors would be the likely cause so like an idiot I bought 2 new genuine sensors and changed them but no different, I can raise and lower the rear as normal using the switch inside the car but the front just will not go down either while using the switch or with the snapon solus I was told the pump was replaced a few months ago but have no proof
Is the cone thing inside the metal round metal casing or is it external from the pump housing? thanks again

I suspect a stuck valve somewhere, I haven't played with the suspension much but there are far more knowledgable people on here that I am sure can help further.

Thanks I haven’t got a clue
But it’s been parked up for a week now as it is totally undriveable suspension hasn’t changed at all at least I know there’s no leaks !!!

@Jamo0151 do you still have the previous height sensors? Have you tried the suggestion by @kds?

Hi yes it’s the same with both old and new sensors although the old passenger side sensor was seized up so would have been giving inaccurate readings anyway
I’m going to try and find the cone thing tomorrow morning as kds said and check it for blockages
Thanks for your reply

You're welcome ;)
Just a thought: is there a way to check the new sensors aren't faulty. Won't be the firat time a new part has been faulty. Although you'd have to be really unlucky for both to have faults.

Thanks for your reply

Sounds like a valve block problem either electrical or mechanical.

I think that you have 30 days from purchase to return it if a fault develops. By all means try to fix it, but keep an eye on the date. If you bought it from a dealer you might also want to offer them the chance to fix it gratis.
