No problems with interior lights at all. In fact, (touching wood furiously) I don't have any problems at the moment at all. It's been like this since day one and was a problem when I had my EAS issues as waiting for it to charge the tank took forever.. turns out, it's because it wouldn't disable EAS with doors or tailgate open.

@quavey - it's a 2000 (w)

Then you have a fault somewhere they cannot be switched off.

Can only think of the ECU then as all doors and tailgate are indicated in the dash if open.

If interior lights work correctly when doors are open, then maybe somebody fudged the "door open" signal from BECM to EAS ECU Pin-34?

I'll maybe check that (though from memory, didn't see anything at ECU or BECM side) but I can't think of any reason why someone would want to disable it?

To stop it self-levelling overnight. There was talk on the forums about it in the past so guess someone may have done it. Or maybe it was on springs at one stage and converted back?

Only reason you would want to stop the EAS self levelling is if you had a leak on the system. Fix the bloody problem don't mask it. A 15 mm drop in twenty four hours is an acceptable norm on a fully functioning system. If anyone thinks about buggering about trying to correct anything like that, they are searching for utopia.

Nah, there's no problems like that anymore as I spent a lot of time fixing them! It all works perfectly aside from this non-issue

Check if the dash EAS inhibit button actually works. Look at pin 2 C0467/C0469 behind trim panel bottom of N/S A post. Or connections on C0067/C0229 drivers side lower trim panel base of O/S A post.

Dash inhibit switch works - I use it quite often.
I'll check the connections when the weather improves. Just back from a hell of a drive to Newcastle and back - the A1 is a mess.

From what i recall of it the A1 has always been a mess. :D

Was really bad today with the wind. Watching attics and lorries cocking wheels when side winds hit. Then one overturned at torness so it was closed. Diversion through single track roads...And a luxury tour bus got stuck in mud and grass as a result. Had to travel off road to get past. Nightmare.

Good job you had the Rangie.

My eas fault popped up again early hours of the morning on the motorway so got home plugged laptop in. And loads of faults again reset not showing any faults now and all is well for now. We're is next place to look before I refurb pump and valve block . Do I spray airbags with soapy water?

Loads of faults is usually Air Leaks somewhere. Yes check the airbags for leaks at different heights.

I found it easier to get her to height, pull the delay timer relay from under the passenger seat and then come back in the morning / few days and see which corner dropped. The bags fold over and spotting the leak can be tricky unless it is REALLY obvious.

Will give that a try once ive reset it again as eas fault popped up again on way home . Just wondering could a weak battery cause any issues with eas like stopping pump etc as I think my battery is buggered. Car starts but every now and then chucks up gearbox fault but once she fires up it disappears I've read it's due to a weak battery. Was planning on a new battery then sorting oil leak then suspension if I can get it keep working , anyone know a reputable specialistiv heardmy local bartrams land r rover specialist are quite poor and pricey.

Will this battery fit I read so we're about fitting a 664 commercial battery and I've found a hankook battery model number MF31-1000 £100 with fre delivery 1000cca 130amp are theirs the next model down at £85 800cca 115amp

I take it you have not yet looked at the connector L/H side of passenger footwell behind trim panel bottom of A post. Damp in that if any needs sorting. Then checking all connections from valve block to harness are good. Sorting the EAS must be done in logical steps or you will find yourself chasing you arse for months.
