Sorry I know I know this has been covered. I have searched and read up but would like to clarify as to a 200 compared to 300 tdi conversion in my 90 2.5td.
As I understand the 200tdi (preferred option but have chance of a cheap 300 disco) is 1 out 1 in where as the 300 needs mountings moved and more involved.

AFAIK if you are wanting to stick a disco 200tdi in yer 90 you will still need to modify the exhaust and coolant hoses etc so it's still not as simple as one in one out. I'm not sure about engine mounts though.
 
200tdi is **** easy. If you buy the ebay kit, I know it's dear but worth it.
Coolant pipe mod, I use 19j pipe plus extension bit of disco hose.
Oil pipes, 19j
Pas a bit harder, tried using 19j pump, but dint work. Used disco pump, and since I lost the disco pas hoses, I had to use 19j ones and a banjo nut.
Don't forget to move the clutch pipe.
Done it in a weekend. But it was hard, recommend more time. :D
