I'm going to look at and test drive an L322 tomorrow.

It's a 4.4 V8, 65,0000 miles, full dealer service history, one owner.

What do I i need to check for (I know P38s well, but not L322s)?

And advice gratefully received.

Do a thorough check of all the electrical gizmos, and take your time. Raise and lower the air suspension and make sure it all works. If the car has been standing for a while then you may get errors such as HDC inactive when first starting which is often down to low battery volts. If the error does not recur when starting again after a long drive and the HDC works then you are probably OK.

Went and had a look at the Range Rover yesterday, had a good look round, the car is in mint condition. No electrical errors whatsoever, everything works as it should, suspension rises and falls quickly.
Can't fault it, which means I am going to have to buy it!
That will mean that my trusty, well sorted P38 will probably have to go....
I'll post pics if the deal is done.

Thanks for the advice.

Congratulations, sounds like a good 'un. I've got the td6 diesel but my 'other' car is an E65 BMW with the same petrol engine as the RR you are looking at and its a lovely lump.

Similar....

I have the M62 powered L322 and also an E38 740 with the M62.....with that engine in a car that weighs 400kg less...the 740 is a bit of a handful...!!
