Good evening all. To keep this short I've had to have the heads checked on my 4.0. It's the 2nd time they've been off in 18 months or so but all's well there. They were skimmed last time but only pressure tested this time.

However...using my usual bull-in-a-china-shop time management regime (that's haste to the rest of you) I've put the heads on opposite to how they were. I know, I know, I'm having the T-shirt printed as I type.

The questions therefore are:
is this OK or do I need to swap them back?
Have I goosed the head bolts making them unusable if a swap is needed?

All advice and dressings down appreciated

Headbolts are torque to yield.

Dont think the heads are handed, as long as you have the exhaust ports to the outside.

Car will run backwards. Fantastic in reverse, but a bit unresponsive in all fwd gears

Is the screw hole that holds the dipstick bracket in the right place?

The only dipstick issue is the one asking for the advice

Of course it is,my memory is crap seeing as I am in the process of refurbing mine.

Don't want to rush things ,which is a good job because I'm waiting for the paint to be delivered by Royal Mail.
