Good evening all. To keep this short I've had to have the heads checked on my 4.0. It's the 2nd time they've been off in 18 months or so but all's well there. They were skimmed last time but only pressure tested this time.

However...using my usual bull-in-a-china-shop time management regime (that's haste to the rest of you) I've put the heads on opposite to how they were. I know, I know, I'm having the T-shirt printed as I type.

The questions therefore are:
is this OK or do I need to swap them back?
Have I goosed the head bolts making them unusable if a swap is needed?

All advice and dressings down appreciated

Thanks both. I guessed the former answer, and as far as I can see the heads are....er...the same.

The only dipstick issue is the one asking for the advice :) The screw's on the rocker cover
Of course it is,my memory is crap seeing as I am in the process of refurbing mine.

If it wasn't for the corrosion in photo1 I would have left them like this, I'm going to spray them black crackle effect.

Don't want to rush things ,which is a good job because I'm waiting for the paint to be delivered by Royal Mail.

Sounds like Fletch in Porridge when he was flogging all the paint to the screws when he was supposed to be painting the library.
