finlander

Mrs F has lost her job!.... its a long story but since returning from maternity leave she has been sidelined and put in broom cupboard with no one talking to her. Final starw was the owner of the company telling her she cant do her job anymore because she has a baby. dont know why its not like she is a deep sea diver or anything.

Anyway with unemployment it means the company car has to go...

The problem here is that I have an s40 for work and that leaves her driving the RR! My concern is she drives it like she stole it, uses it as an extension of her handbag and trys to turn it into some sort of baby skip... I cant stand my baby being treated that way (the car that is not the baby)

Anyway I am looking for a 3rd vehicle.

It has to be 4wd (soft roader)
good sized
well appointed... leather, toys etc
good MPG
and relatively modern

cost max £3500

If I turn up with a defender or a disco there is a serious chance I will be hospitalized. She doesnt like them..:(

A mate suggested a outlander... I know that you will all shout bollox they are all ****e bags....

But have a look at this....

2005 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER SPORT SE AUTO GREY | eBay

2004 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER SPT SE D-FUEL SILVER | eBay

They have lpg from the factory..well some... thats cheap to run and they look ok, are big enuf ...

I cant by a freelander because ****in i hate them and they look like **** and I would have to buy 365 of them because I would burn it everyday :violent::focus:

who knows what outlanders are like and any other ideas of what to get?....

Tell her to put in an Employment Tribunal action for unfair dismissal on the grounds of sex discrimination. The employer will fall over themselves to buy her off - use the money to buy her a decent motor.

Hows about a Suburu Legacy or forester? they've got all the gizmo's she'd ever want. Or does it have to have more ground clearance?

get her a well kept Freelander Td4, you'll be surprised by it specially when your RR has it's rear on the ground when you are late to work in the morning

well I wolud but I would be so worried about some responsible well thinking citizen setting fire to it cause its a freelander.

Also the RR may be on its arse but at least it will still have its ****ing doors on and wont make everyone who drives it look like a a cross between freddie mercury and someone who is so far in the closet he's almost in ****in narnia.......
:crazy::5back2:

has she actually left work/been told not to try up/redundant coz an option would be to
go to employment tribunal - say you want old job back - thereby you get pay out for boss breaking most employment law and she gets car back then if boss says can't/won't have back get some more money as a further pay off and why not offer to buy company car

has actually left ..while she was resigning one of the directors tried to slap her ass. She works in a very male dominated industry and is one of about 2 women in the whole thing who got her position. She was also the only woman ever to sit at the top table of there trade federation dinner.... so basically...she is going to take them to the ****in cleaners.

Her sol says at least 6 counts of unfair and constructive dismissal and sexual disrimination.... her company car was taken back three months ago...5 series bmw ....and she was given a vauxhall insignia (proof of demotion says her brief) and quite frankly I wouldnt buy the vauxhall back if you gold plated it.........:bolt:

Just had the wife's Impreza (technically similar to the forrester) MOT and service at the local Subaru independant for £300. That's not too expensive. The legacy might be a bit low on the ground but the forrester isn't bad. Where's the missus taking the baby?

Check the price for parts if looking at Mitsubishi, Got a Challenger and they want over £200 for a rear light Cluster, Also some of the suspension has to be changed out completely as they dont sell Ball joints on their own you need a whole wishbone thats another £150+ then fitting them is fun. What about VW TOUREG or similar, Has seen been in a Facelift D2???
