Hello Everyone,

Im new here.

I have had various old Landys over my time but Im about to purchase a fairly new Defender 90 (2006) that has had a performance upgrade with a stage 2 package and gearbox from JE Engineering. Does anyone know of any issues with them before i sign on the dotted line?

Thanks,

Tom.

Erm, damage to your wallet is a common problem and very serious with the current price of Diesel...

Hello Landy 10,

Its a Landy Special that has JE Engineering stage 2 tune to around 190bhp (Bigger intercooler, ITG filter, ECU Remap)

JE Engineering Transfer box upgrade for high ratio final drive from Std to Discovery TD5 final ration, giving a lower RPM on the engine at higher speeds and increasing MPG.

sounds like a hell of a machine Tom and it must be an absolte hoot to drive with that sort of power.
Dont put bio in it though they dont like it

What bhp do you get out of a normal 200TDI / T5 / v8 petrol??

200 TDi 111BHP
V8 - anything from 90 to 190, depending on year, variant, carbed, injected, if its the original V8, or one out of a SD1 or summat. Rover set them all different 'cos they didn't think the brakes could cope with it in some, like the Stage1V8 S3
