Hey everyone,

Recently acquired a 1965 Series 2a. Largely restored, but gearbox was in an unknown state. Have dropped it out and broken it down. Largely in good condition but I spotted something strange on the syncro unit. Note that this is my first Series, and I'm learning (fast).

The teeth on one side of the syncro are all very uniformly thin, other than 4. Is this wear or a manufacturing fault and do I need to worry too much about it?

Welcome to Landyzone, the dual teeth thickness is normal, but check for wear on the teeth, don’t think them parts too expensive, good fun playing with gearboxes , make sure you get OE seals and gaskets
