Also if anyonehas any pointers on replacing waterpumps, please let me know. I'll be going at it with a Haynes manual, at least that's the current plan.
that's slightly disconcerting... I don't mind it being a little late as long as it turns up.Never had a problem with Paddocks personally but things might have changed or perhaps they are going through a very busy period, check out this thread:

Yes; I've used Paddocks for the last 9 years without a hitch, others have complaints. You pays your money and you takes... etc. I always found them to be the cheapest for most things but if you are in a hurry and don't want to risk a long wait they aren't doing so well at the moment. Try Craddocks or LR Series? Never dealt with them but hear good things.that's slightly disconcerting...
I literally just clicked purchase on paddocks.Get a part number and use LRDirect.
Never let me down, you can choose shipping and part manufacturer aswell
Okay i'll remember that for next time. I'll keep you updated.LR Direct are good, I got all my bits for a gearbox rebuild from there, cheaper than Paddocks and more choice.
Keep us posted on your experience with Paddocks... maybe they need a serious talking to.
Okay thanks, i'll bookmark this particular thread for my laptop when i go over to do it. I should have a little assistance in a few days with it, just matching the timings between me being at work and him being available.I did mine when replacing the timing chain so I had the front off and radiator out. A very simple swap as long as the faces are in good nick and the replacement gasket is a decent one. If not you might need a smear of instant gasket silicone.
If doing it with the rad in place make sure you don’t puncher it. It dunt take much to ruin it.
