Hi all,

Yes I'm back could not resist a 2nd Lard Lover so now I'm looking towards you guys for a bit of advise so here goes.

I'm looking at the following Range Rover:
Land Rover Range Rover TDV8 Vogue SE
2007
133000 miles
£12795

Now the dealer near me HERE is the car says I can have it for £12200 so what's your advise?

Brian

So do you thing at £12200 is a bargain and what do I look for?

I have driven it, everything works and drives like a dream.

Don't think, just buy it......TDV8 is a great engine...but check the exhaust smoke carefully, the early 3.6 version tend to munch the turbos and lunch on alternators!

LOL

I'm hoping Ive not thrown 12k down the pan but its been well serviced, local owner to me and only 2 previous owners from new.

I doubt you have.....just keep on top of the service items and treat her kindly.....

Do you know if these come with the rear entertainment headphones I know the torch is there but didn't see headphones?

I can only assume it should if you have Rear Seat Entertainment.....

Thats a Vogue...not the Vogue SE with all the toys like rear seat entertainment etc...

Yeh the one I'm getting is the SE with a full history and bells and whistles so to speak.

Now I gota knock a wall down internal of my garage to get the bugger in :) LOL

Life's great when your having fun.

FFRR collected this morning, noticed straight off the bat the display said something about engine management then went off will have to plug in a code reader and see not a good start

Knocked wall down and it fits in the garage just right and also ordered the latest, well last satnav DVD to update that as well but...............

I paired the wife's phone to the system and that paired fine, I can select a name via the phone and make a call ok but their is no directory showing up on screen plus I cannot answer any incoming calls, any ideas?

Thanks.

It begins! If its been stood for a while at a dealer with people messing and stop start it might have low battery voltage. Might be worth taking it for a long run or get it on a battery charger and see if it comes back.

As for bluetooth, what are you pairing it to? Were there any phones in the list before you paired the new one? Might be worth clearing the list of any previous phones and starting again.

Yeh I'll take it for a run tomorrow and see what happens, not driven it as yet over 30MPH so I hope the limp mode has not kicked in.

The Bluetooth finds the LR and phone all ok, I can dial a number fine and talk but when someone rings in I cannot answer it via the keypad on the phone, LR screen or the button on the steering wheel.

Regards

Ok, drove the car a few miles and so far the engine management info has not showed up on the dash so I presume it was due to the car sitting around for a while anyway.....

Had a good look over the FFRR inside and out, tested everything to its max and all works fine "rubs brow of sweat" and sighs and while having a look in the rear left section where the DVD player is I noticed what I see as a battery isolator! does anyone know if its factory or maybe fitted by a previous owner due to batter drain?

So far drives like a breeze in the wind, flies like a bird and the misses cant stop smiling and I'm surprised how quiet it is.

Regards
