Thanks for all the advice. Dont think its the white plugs behind the kick panel (as they look fine). Also i changed all the o rings in the valve block about 8 months ago. I did notice that the white stuff in the air dryer was soaking wet. I dried it out (as recommended) but is that normal. I've also cleaned all the plugs linked to the height sensors. Ive got the eas unlock suite and the sensors all appear normal. I'll take it with me just in case.
Think i'll change the front bags (original) when i get home.
If the dryer was wet, best replace it as when the dessicant breaks up it gets into the valve block and creates havoc. Also drain any water from the air tank.

As for removing the delay relay, that only comes into play when the car levels itself after you have switched off.

.
This is simply incorrect.
The air suspension won't work with the relay removed.
It inhibits all operations, including dropping you onto the bumpstops.

My RR will go up to wading height sometimes, usually a press of the down button corrects it,
However sometimes it will hard fault and attempt to lower itself onto the stops.
If you quickly pop a door open before it drops( it wont drop onto the stops with a door open), you can then pull over, remove the timer relay, and at least get home on the suspension. Not a pretty solution, but better than a ride on the bumpstops.

Also if like the OP you suspect the bags may be leaking, you can remove the relay overnight, this will inhibit all suspension operations, and if the car has lowered then you have a leak.
