A similar thing happened with my wife, she let a van out of a petrol station, she saw him move forward and she did as well, but he stopped abruptly, the damage to her car,was a cracked number plate, the damage to the van was nil,but the van driver and his girlfriend claimed for whiplash etc etc,the bill came to £4,500.:mad:

It's just so wrong, think its just too easy for people to claim for stuff that's no real, no wonder we pay so much for insurance these days, kept getting phone calls saying that money had been put to one side for my partner to claim for injuries and distress due to the accident, kept telling them there was no injuries and to do one, I hate ambulance chasers

yes i agree, the bloke who was in the van got out and said to my wife,no probs,no damage etc etc, next thing she gets a letter from her insurers telling her about the big claim against her policy.

Can anyone tell me if when replacing the windscreen in a 300 tdi they also replace the rubbers?
regards
Terry

Renewal quote through from flux at 250 notes tpft 100 xs with highway. Quote elsewhere still with highway for 225 notes fully comp with 50 xs. Sounds like more for less. Been with flux for many years and with 2 policies. Maybe time for a move cause sounds like I'm getting done.

Hi, if you can PM me your policy number I can take a look at this for you as if any of your details have changed this year it may make a difference to the cost. We will always try and compete with renewals too!

Regards,
Jordan

And flux seem to be asking for 7 pictures of the disco. That's a pain in the arse

This is only for the Agreed Value, if you don't want it then you don't need to send photos in :)

Thanks for your reply. My details did change during the year but that's not the issue. It's more cover with the same insurer for less money that's got me baffled. I will pm you my policy number anyway.

Morning M1dge

It's better if we can give you a quick call. Can you PM a contact number and best time (between 9-7) and I'll get an experienced quotes clerk to call you.

Hi,

Sorry I was out of the office yesterday.

That quote sounds very high, would you mind sending me your reference number via PM so I can check this out?

Kind regards

Do you offer a box with unrestricted mileage and no time constraints?

We do offer one Smartbox policy, the only way you are monitored is by the mileage covered. So as long as you give yourself adequate mileage you will not be penalised. There is no monitoring of driving styles, speeds or times ETC.

As a broker this is one scheme, we do have over 40 schemes in total which the rest do not require a Smartbox, so I would like to think we could help in some way.

Feel free to PM me your details and I can arrange a call back from our quotes team.

Regards,
Jordan

I took out European breakdown cover with Adrian Flux, sadly for me my Defender 90 suffered a seized wheel bearing in the south of France.
What an absolute shower Adrian Flux was, as I broke down abroad Adrian Flux didn't want to know, they insisted I dealt with Equity Redstar who apparently the insurance was with, they didn't want to know as I should be calling the UK breakdown assistance, they didn't want to know as I should be calling European breakdown assistance.

The cover I took out only carried a £3000 cover for claims so my options we're leave the car in France and get my expenses paid to get home or hitch a ride home and possibly get my car back. I managed to hitch a ride home.
European breakdown insisted that my defender had to go to a main dealer for assessment before they would consider transporting my car to the UK, the main dealer couldn't find anything wrong, I suppose a seized front wheel bearing and grinding wheel isn't really very obvious.
The French dealer wouldn't release my defender until I paid £150 diagnostic fee, and as they still worked with a fax then it took time for my money to get to them.
3 weeks later my defender returned home with an exploded battery from being jump started off a 24volt lorry and missing half a tank of fuel.

At least I got my car back and I've fixed the wheel and hub and enjoying greenlaning again.

CHECK THE SMALL PRINT ON ANY INSURANCE COVER. I didn't have the cheapest cover I thought I was buying a good policy for my needs, obviously not. Adrian Flux. Never again.

Hi Sparky,

Sorry to hear of your recent issue with our breakdown provider.

Would you mind sending me a PM with your policy number? I can then arrange for this to be investigated.

Kind regards
Jordan
