Its all buffed out now, just took 15 mins

good to hear it wasn't something too serious , that's the good thing owning a landy , other cars do tend to just bounce off ;)

but she may need new glasses as how the hell didn't she see a great big range rover

plus good you've got pics , before the bogus claims are made

A few months ago on a hot day I was sitting in the local Tesco car park waiting for the wife to re-appear with the shopping. There was a car parked facing me and another in the space to the left facing me. I noticed the driver there similarly waiting for someone. The space next to me was empty.
I nodded off, as you do.

I awoke to a horrendous bang and the Jeep I was in jerked back as if hit by something. I climbed out to see that the car with the other waiting driver had been pushed across he space next to me, across the driving lane and into a space behind me where it had been stopped having hit the hedge. I went and spoke to the driver, who was looking shocked and complaining that his door wouldn't open. I tried the outside handle and his door seemed stuck or locked.

He had been hit in the rear by another car travelling at what must have been high speed. Its airbags had gone off and the driver appeared to be rather out of things. The police, ambulance and fire brigade arrived, so I checked my vehicle and could see no damage whatsoever.

Meanwhile the pushed driver had somehow got out and was walking round looking rather unhappy and started to pull loose bits off his car.

My wife came out of the store and we checked the Jeep again but could see no damage.
She started saying that, seeing me surrounded by police and store staff, she thought I was being arrested for something. Eventually, it was decided that we could take some pictures and go, with staff guiding me out against the one way system.

Subsequently, I found a miniscule bit of wrong-coloured paint on the front left wheel arch and a scuff mark on my front left tyre, so I can only assume that the other car had hit my nearside front wheel, which will have been sticking out a bit from the turn into the space when initially parking.

If you know where to look you can still see the marks of oil, diesel and coolant spillage in the car park.

No, it was when I had the Grand Cherokee. I replaced this with the back-to-LR L322 about a month ago.

It's one reason why I'm wondering whether I can find some cheap way of swapping the wheels on the RR so it has big tyres.

I reversed onto a traffic sign pole in a dark rainy night and it cracked my bumper into few pieces. Same place as yours but little towards the side.
I thought our bumpers are made out of plastic instead of polyurethane.

P38 has an RSJ on the back with a plastic cover that is as robust as most cars. There are little colour coded inserts down the side that are only thin plastic. The plastic can be replaced without replacing the steel part but it costs a fortune.

Whaaaaaat? She's driving a brand new Tranny with bells & whistles & she "still" couldn't tell there was a vehicle behind her??

Maybe she confused a bell for a whistle so kept going

Designed by computer, built by robots, driven by a woman
Yes dear I know - I may well be a sexist pig but you're the one who backed into him!

Had a lady back into my old omega, after watching me park behind. She started up and backed into the driver's door! Her excuse was the sensors don't work! Fücking eyes to the rear?? Then went on to say it was Friday and she was tired! End of the week and all. Her husband turned up 15 minutes later and said the dents were not caused by their car. The scratch lined up perfectly with the rear light, wouldn't have it! While we were arguing their bumper popped itself out and back into shape... Not a sexist jab, just a go at depending on stupid sensors and not relying on what they were taught to use when learning to drive...... Fücking eyes!!!!!! done.
Gone...
