Morning,

Just taken my dads TD4 of his hands and noticed that sometime when I accelerate nothing happens. This is intermitant and I cant narrow it down to any gear, rev range etc....

I have changed Ait Filter, EGR Vent Filter, the left hand air intake hose as it had a split in it (assumed the cause but wasn't). The other intake hoses seem ok, fitted ok and split free.

I was wondering if it could be the fule filter or something, any tips would be appreciated.

could well be the maf
common problem. easiest solution is a rover ron tuning box.

Unplug the maf and take it for a run........if things improve buy the synergy as the op says......remember to plug it back in after the test as it shouldn't be left unplugged.

I had the same problem and found it to be low fuel pressure, no indication on the dash but logged in the ecu. Changed fuel pump and filter all perfect.
