well I have just found out there is a throttle switch at the peddle that also affects the abs trc hdc I reset it now my three amigos are working as they should so I hope it keeps working

How did you reset the switch, mine is on, changed the brake pedal switch, no luck, how do I check the throttle switch?

Hi Barry my lights came back on again today I am taking it to get it on the computer tomorrow as its driving me nuts the peddle switch should be up against the throttle pedal bracket if its not just push the centre thru you will hear it click

Cheers, I'm really sick of mine, I'll have to bite the bullet and get it to a garage and get it checked out.

the switch made my hdc amber warning light stay on when the abs trc went off the whole system is flipping weird I am fed up with mine

You should list your locations and see if there's a member near you with a suitable diagnostic

Some members have hawkeyes

The throttle switch is only used for the HDC. It's there to let the ABS ECU know the pedal is at rest. This sets the minimum target speed. Bad switch adjustment will cause the yellow ! symbol on the dash. When adjusted correctly, there should be 12mm of free play at the pedal.

well its the offside sensor that's faulty giving low voltage last time it was the nearside so here goes again hopefully this will be the end of the light saga as I like the way the hippo drives but faults are a right pain

it is the front offside the guy at land rover 4x4 garage did not charge me as this was the second time I was back first time it was the nearside front cost £45

Wow £45 for a scan, I remember the days they did it for free or at the most £10..........well worth investing in a scanner at those prices......

Or the carsoft i930 thats on ebay for £99

I'm thinking of getting one of these, my son has a disco so we could go halves on it.
