I have twice fixed similar problems at low speed due to the sensor being too far out from the reluctor ring.

Check them by using a thin (10 thou) feeler gauge bent round in the gap between the end of the sensor and ring. It should be tight, may even need thinner than 10 thou. If it is loose, gently bash the sensor further in (I use a piece of hard wood between the hammer and a top edge of the sensor) until the feeler gauge is tight.

Sorry, with all that rust I thought it must be a Tratter.
only surface so doesn't worry me its been sitting at least 8 month and never been undersealed etc which i'd rather have itl be done in next few months. service history too , £500 don't get much monsters nowadays

How did you get the old sensor out? I'll be having to remove the hub (the lower wishbone and lower ball joint need replacing anyway) to get mine out... Just need some time to get on with it!!!

if taking hub drive shaft off just smack through, mine was a pig 5 hours and 1hr second time after learned how to remove, used chisel bhammer and smacked away then pulled the base of old one up out of hole,

How did you get purchase on the old sensor? The old sensor has all the strength of a thin roll of bako-foil in my experience :(

Knocking it out from inside the hub appears to be the easier option...

I manged to remove one with two crow bars and two 19mm spanners, Another one I had to take the hub off and use an air chisel to remove it. I never encountered anything so stuck in all my days but I removed it in the end it just takes time.

most heads fall apart if seized as mine was originals so chisel 10mm and smacked away, nothing else would work on kine
