Another one of my pet hate "one thread wonders".... Thanks to @andyfreelandy for pointing me to this thread though, even though the Original OP never came back to us with an outcome, I've found it useful as it has anwered my question in a thread I opened recently about which abs sensor / rings / magnetic bearings.

Can one of you parts number gurus tell me the part number for the seal that goes on the diveshaft against the back of the hub?

Seal mentioned in abs description is part of wheel bearing. Shaft just pushes through hole in fitted bearing centre.

Apologies guys, guilty as charged. I did get the bearing changed and after a shufty around the drive the 3 amigos disappeared.
The info from you guys here was much appreciated.

Apology accepted! Just to edit thread title to solved and you sorted!

So did the bearing work then fail to operate the abs and then when changed it was OK?? Seems odd.

Hi guys. Picking up an old thread here. Not posted for a while because I tend to find all my solutions here without posting. Anyway, I’ve fitted both rear half shafts with parts from Advanced Factors. I’m on an 02 plate so the half shafts came with reluctor rings. However I couldn’t get the shafts in with the reluctor rings on so I figured I actually had the later abs system which reads from the bearings. Driveshafts in and all rattles gone but 3 amigos on. One vital piece of info is Advanced Factors only sell the early half shafts with reluctor rings (TOB000070) but what they sent were the later shafts (TOB000110). Strangely they don’t offer the later ones on their website? 🤷‍♂️ What are your thoughts on best course of action? Maybe I damaged an Abs sensor, maybe I have the wrong shafts. Thoughts and massive appreciation to you @Nodge68 and @andyfreelandy for all your input on here

2002 should be magnetic bearings for abs and later sensors. Later sensors have a blue pug on where they connect to the vehicle loom.

Did you drift off the abs ring as it is not needed on the magnetic set up?

I didn’t drift it off originally. I thought it would compress fit but it was having none of it so I did drift it off eventually.

Just an update:- its now working intermittently. Sometimes I start it up and no 3 amigos. It’s fine for about a minute then the abs kicks in on the offside rear (I think) and the dash lights up again. Suggests contaminated sensor maybe?

Shafts are same except sensor ring yes.
I would check fault codes. Sounds like a sensor may be damaged. Use a diagnostic like PScan and you can observe the speed of each wheel. If they are not the same then that one is faulty !
